¿improving my reaction time?
how can i improve my reaction time for blocking, me and my friend have been fighting/playing/practicing with weapons made of wood, me using escrima double sticks, while they use wodden katanas, and i want to know wat could help be block there attacks, fast, and make it so i can actually see wen they are attacking, and i can be able to block it with ease., any ideas on how to do this?
You can practice with an assistant who can mimic your opponent's moves in slow motion while you respond to his actions in slow motion.
Once you become almost perfect at the base level of reaction, increase the tempo a small amount and go through the same process until you are proficient at that level.
Continue this process until you perceive that you have reached your maximum potential in terms of your reaction time.
You will know when you have reached your maximum potential when your reactions cannot be improved after a sufficient, as perceived by you, number of repetitions.
