Im very good looking but I want to pursue a career in MMA (cage fighting) My family are totally against?

Do you think its a good idea? Ive been approached on the street by modelling scouts but my passion is fighting!
Obviously theres a good chance I wont make it and just get beaten up and made to look ugly for nothing! But im very athletic and motivated and passionate about the sport!

Do what it is you want to do the most. I'm sure its not the be all end all if you tried mma for a few years you could go back to trying to model. Your face will not get wrecked, sure you can get beat up but you practice defense and you can at least protect yourself as much as possible. I have watched hundreds and hundreds of mma fights and yes you can get cut and bruised and banged up but its not permanent, you can still be good looking after a fight, just might take a few days to heal is all. Cauliflower ear is permanent but that takes time. Most people after one or two amateur fights know whether they want to continue pursuing fighting or not.
Three of my training partners (small gym) have had amateur fights and I have cornered all three people and they are fine, no marks, no lasting pain, nothing serious, they were fit as a fiddle.
DEFENSE is key! Learn to protect yourself at all times and your pretty face will be fine.
So anyways, do what you love, and you will decide for yourself whether its for you or not.
You can still be a model two years from now, i'm sure your not that old.
