yeah, i'ma have to give it to the old guy. most any other fighting style i can think of i'd give it to the boxer, but with most any style of kung fu i can think of there are many unexpected methods of redirection and many nasty attacks that you don't find with other martial arts. those guys know where to hit and how to hit to do tons of damage without necessarily exerting a lot of energy. i've always assumed that's why you don't find many kung fu guys stepping into the ring; it's difficult to let rules limit what you know to do to really hurt someone.
so yeah, grandpa takes this one.
