Ripon, Quebec (September 13, 2010) - It was almost a perfect weekend for rally driver Antoine L'Estage and co-driver Nathalie Richard as they dominated the 2010 Rally Challenge from start to finish and won the competition with a win, one title and a new record.
This is the fifth victory in the Challenge for the pair of St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, beating the record time of four John Buffum and Tom Grimshaw in the 1980s. The victory also won the title North American rally for the team and the vaults of a period three points of the head for Canada Rally Championship with two other events.
"Everything went very well this weekend," The Estage said. "We had some small problems with the brakes on Friday but we pushed hard on the first two stages Friday morning so that we build a big enough lead heading into the afternoon. The strategy paid off.
