Douchebag Fans
Great title, huh? So one Saturday night a few, I was alone at home drinking wine and catching up on my new Facebook pole dancing. Alethea after watching super amazing video dance chair, I went to her page to find more of his fantastic work. I did find, and I also found a rather disturbing account of one of his so-called "Fans", a gentleman - no wait, it is not a gentleman - By the name of Eddie Albert. Because Alethea is strict about his private life, I am a bit reluctant to go into great detail, but I will say this: If you think tell a woman how she should improve her body or change its appearance or to cover or expose more could never be considered positive feedback, you are a moron. If you say these things for a woman, you do not know with the intent to improve your own viewing pleasure this woman, you are not alone a moron, you are an ignorant pig needs to be slapped.
And the boy has Albert get a slap. Alethea answer was ... wow. Even better if the package was of women who wrote to Mr. Albert, Alethea behalf and on behalf of the dancers pole and women everywhere. One of the ladies posted the response from Mr. Albert to his letter from him. I think Mr. Albert was a little confused at this point that he Pole Dancer talking to (because obviously we're all the same), but here's his response:

Personally, I think the hostility of your response is unwarranted. Who knows, this may be how you handle criticism. This is my second and last message to you, unless you respond. I included the message from Facebook for reference.
The first post was my opinion on your dancing chair that I said could be eliminated if you were not looking for an opinion. I also said you were very well what you did, I do not give the appearance of minor prefence ... What I said was just my preference. I sent the private message from you so as not to embarrass you, and not in the hope of helping without offending you.
Note, I did not use any profanity in my posts to you, I've threatened in any way, and I do not intend to.
Apparently, I failed miserably in my attempt to help without disturbing you, I apologize for that.
Now I almost pity the guy - he's so fucking lost. Except that one of his "tricks" to Alethea was she put more clothes so he can watch without worrying that his wife would catch on.
So what do we see here? Well, aside from the fact that Mr. Albert is a kind of reflex, there are some other more fundamental beliefs to be exposed which I think are actually quite common in our culture. For example, if a woman dancing sensually, it is ultimately for the pleasure of viewing a man (a man). The idea that
women can dance for his own pleasure and gratification or to educate other women in the art of pleasure and dance is contrary to the chauvinistic belief that female sexuality exists only in relation to a man. Also present in the letter from Mr. Albert is the twisted belief that woman who chooses to expressions of sensuality (ie photo, video) into any kind of public place is really asking, or worse, deserves the kind of attention it gave him reason, it is obviously open to him and he is just being "useful". My favorite part is when he notes carefully he did not use profanity in their messages for her and did not threaten in any way. Oh yes, good. Because offering your unsolicited unwanted sexist comments disguised as "helpfulness" and being a "fan" was finally taken moral high road, Mr. Albert. Well done.
So how can we solve this? What do we do against such misguided ignorance? Certainly, if someone offends you, it is best to make them aware of that. But there is a big problem here that we as a community to meet and will need educate the general public. It is not enough to distinguish ourselves from the community of stripping. It is not enough to recall all the artistic qualities pole dancing and athletic. What people must begin to understand is that a woman dancing sensually could not do it because she wants the attention of a man or for the purpose of pleasing a man. It might just be do to his own sense of pleasure and satisfaction. And most importantly Again, people need to start seeing the dance for what it is - an expression incredibly beautiful, sensual, erotic and sometimes sports body - And to respect women who have the courage to perform. Instead of condemning women who choose to share their sensuality with the world, we must begin to ask questions like "What is the value of female erotic expression and embodiment?". It is perhaps not questions that someone as Mr. Albert may be able to wrap their heads around. But by making it clear time and again that we dance for our own pleasure, we dance to teach others how to find the same pleasure in their bodies and there is much value in the sensual display of the female form, we can begin to change the way people perceive women sexuality. And perhaps Mr. Albert will finally write a fan letter specific to the beautiful and Austin talented and sexy pole dance professional "> Alethea Austin.
