The following types of Bokken list is the basic styles of bokken made: Daito (katana companies) shoto or wakizashi bo (wakizashi companies) tanto bo (tanto companies) and suburban, which is lower than that of a classification mentioned above, it can be done in the Daito shoto and sizes, but for training alone. They are much heavier and harder to use, develop more muscles, increase skills in 'normal' sized bokken. A user the famous suburi size bokken is Miyamoto Musashi who used in his duel against Sasaki Kojiro. Bokken can also be made in any style of weapons such as Nagamaki required, not-dachi, yari, naginata, kama, etc. The examples above are the most commonly used.
